How to Make Garlic Butter Noodles Recipe?

Necessary Ingredients

  • 2 bags of dried pasta (1 bag is fine, I use the spaghetti type of noodles)
  • 3 or 4 slices of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped garlic (more or less depending on how much you like garlic in your food)
  • 3 cups of chicken broth (I used 2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper (more or less, depending on how much you like pepper in your food)

Necessary Equipment

  • 1 pot
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 mixing bowl (with cover)
  • 1 spatula or wooden spoon

Preparation Instructions

Step 1.

Put roughly 2 or 3 tablespoons of butter into a saucepan over medium heat. Throw in 1/2 the garlic and mix around with your spatula or wooden spoon. Cook for 5 minutes until the garlic becomes soft and begins to brown.

Step 2.

Pour in the chicken broth and cook until it reduces by half (about 10 minutes). Mix the Parmesan cheese, Black Pepper, and remaining garlic into the chicken broth with a spatula or wooden spoon. Mix well and let reduce by half.

Step 3.

Put in the noodles, stir around, and let cook until the noodles are done, al dente. Drain the cooked noodles and put them in a bowl or plate with pasta water (or whatever leftover liquid is left over after cooking your noodles but won’t be enough to fill up half of your container).

Step 4.

Mix the remaining butter and Parmesan cheese with a spatula or wooden spoon over medium heat until the butter is melted and the cheese is melted into a paste. Add in the prepared noodles, mix around, and then garnish with some of the remaining Parmesan cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve and enjoy!

Tips

1. To make this dish fancier, add some chopped-up bacon. I do not suggest using store-bought bacon bits because they are much too salty.

2. I use fresh Parmesan cheese made from cow’s milk, but if you are allergic or intolerant to dairy products, then you can use Parmesan cheese substitutes.
