How To Make Stick Butter Spreadable?

Necessary Ingredients:

Necessary Equipment:

  • Blender
  • A way to stir in the ingredients (I used a fork and spoon)

Preparation Instructions

Step 1.

Blend the butter, oil, and salt in a blender until it’s creamy, about 2 minutes.

Step 2.

Stir in enough oil to make it spreadable. I recommend adding at least 2/3 Cup of oil or applesauce(the actual amount depends on how much butter you use).

Step 3.

It will be thick, so you will probably want to spread it on a plate or other container first. Blend again with a fork until smooth and creamy enough to spread on food items or onto itself. Then enjoy!

Tips:

  • You can use almost any oil. I like to use olive oil. I have tested this butter with a few different oils, and it works great if you add enough. If the oil is too thick, the butter won’t blend well and will be gritty.
  • If you are concerned about the fat, you could use some apple sauce instead of oil instead of one stick of butter so that it’s mostly applesauce and a little bit of mashed-up apples to thicken it.

Is spreadable butter the same as stick butter?

Stick butter and spreadable butter are both different forms of the same thing: butter. Stick butter is just regular butter that is much easier to spread. It’s a form of soft butter made creamy by blending in other ingredients.

The fat in stick butter is solid, while soft butter can contain water-based liquids such as cream, skim milk, or whey.

What can I use if I don’t have butter sticks?

You can use salted or unsalted butter if you don’t have butter sticks. This recipe is easier with spreadable butter sticks because they contain less water, which helps blend faster in the blender.

If you are using a different form of butter, then it will be more difficult to get into a creamy texture. You can use the same measurements for regular butter: 2 sticks plus 2/3 cup oil.

Stick butter is better than normal butter in terms of heart health. It has no trans fat, is low in saturated fat, and contains the same protein as regular butter. However, stick butter is more expensive than regular butter and is not a bad alternative if you want to lower your saturated fat and cholesterol intake.
