How To Make Stick Butter Spreadable?
- Two sticks (salted or unsalted butter )
- 2/3 cup oil or applesauce
- 1/2 tsp salt(Optional)
- A way to stir in the ingredients (I used a fork and spoon)
Blend the butter, oil, and salt in a blender until it’s creamy, about 2 minutes.
Stir in enough oil to make it spreadable. I recommend adding at least 2/3 Cup of oil or applesauce(the actual amount depends on how much butter you use).
It will be thick, so you will probably want to spread it on a plate or other container first. Blend again with a fork until smooth and creamy enough to spread on food items or onto itself. Then enjoy!
- You can use almost any oil. I like to use olive oil. I have tested this butter with a few different oils, and it works great if you add enough. If the oil is too thick, the butter won’t blend well and will be gritty.
- If you are concerned about the fat, you could use some apple sauce instead of oil instead of one stick of butter so that it’s mostly applesauce and a little bit of mashed-up apples to thicken it.
